We had vegans in our family which made it difficult to find local places to eat that had options for everyone. At Barrel 17 we wanted to solve that problem once and for all with our vegan burger options, salads, and our vegan desserts! So no more hassle finding a restaurant to cater to everyone!

Our mission at Barrel 17 is to provide high quality American cuisine with a quaint, causal, local atmosphere here in the Artsy Vibe District of Virginia Beach just a short walk away from the beach! From our award winning Jammin Goat Burger to our craft cocktails down to our vegan options, there is something at Barrel 17 for every one!

If you’re in the mood for an old fashion bourbon we’ve got you covered along with a variety of other adult beverages to fit everyone’s fancy (who’s eligible of course) If you want to bring the kids out we have an area with table games that will entertain them while your food is being prepared.  You don’t have to go far to get quality in this community. The Barrel
Burger Challenge

Only 1 person has beat our Barrel Challenge which consists on 3 Double Cheese Burgers, 1 Aloha Dog, 6 Chicken Tenders, Chili Cheese Fries, and a Root Beer Float! You have 1 hour to finish and if you do you get a picture on our wall, a t-shirt, and we pay for the meal! ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE.

- Awards -

Barrel 17 was asked to compete in one of the most popular burger challenges of Hampton Roads hosted by Nomorama, a local foodie influencer/food pop up event host. We had the idea of creating house made bacon jam, adding fresh arugula and a roasted red pepper sauce to top on our wagyu beef patty.

We walked away being the 4th annual Nomorama Slider Challenge Winner. By popular demand it was only right to keep the burger on the menu permanently for everyone to enjoy!
